Subject: The book still haunts me...

I read the book over 12hrs: just couldn't put it down. The story still haunts me and almost brings me to tears. I hope it comes out here soon (can't find a date, might have to fly to some place else to see it this year). Peace out.

Read the book right after it came out. It was the bleakest, darkest book that I have ever read. The only reason I finished it was hoping that things would get better. Didn't happen. Would take some major changes, especially to the ending to make me want to see this.

It's a challenge to be sure. I've seen it 4 times now, and it gets to me every time. This is not a film for the faint of heart. You need to be a deep thinker with lots of courage to face this. None of us face reality all of the time. This may be too much for you. Of course one of the 2 main characters was played by an 11 year-old boy. He handled it fine.

what is up with the changing of the release date for the road....i suppose with all the blockbusters released at the end of the year the producers were afraid it would get passed by for some well deserved critical acclaim. as an avid reader and fan of the book, and its author i am so pisst off. mccarthy is not a publicity hound but he must know that his fans are highly disturbed at how his books keep getting twisted...but i bet he loves taking his checks to the bank. maybe not a spotlighter but definitely a hollywood ho like some of the rest...did i say king? koontz? steele? with the economy crunch, i guess i will stick with books and recycle them and then wait for the cheaper rentals. invest stock in redbox, and netflix. it cost 30 bucks to go to a movie and get snacks. who can stand that?
