1952: Damon Lindelof to write

  • Damon Lindelof (TV's "Lost") has signed on to write an original large-scale sci-fi film for Walt Disney Pictures.

  • The film is currently titled "1952".

  • Lindelof will also produce the project that isn't just being conceived for movies, but that it has multiple platform aspirations.

Tomorrowland: Dwayne Johnson to star in Disney's sci-fi action-adventure
Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) will star in Tomorrowland, a new Disney sci-fi action-adventure. While Variety reports that the epic space movie will be based on Disney's theme park section (a futuristic area of the Magic Kingdom), the studio maintains that the film will be based on an original script.

Writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore have been set to write the screenplay for the project, which is being prepared as a potential trilogy.
